question 1: What was unique about the setting of the book and how did it enhance or take away from the story?

The setting in Romeo and Juliet and Vampires was unique in many ways. Two ways it was unique was that is that it took place in the 1460s and it was at a castle. This enhanced it because it gave visuals of the areas.

The story took place in the 1460s. There were princes and kings and queens. The people used different words and had different names. Streets in that time were made of cobblestones and the buildings weren’t as fancy. The people also dressed differently, the girls wore dresses and the boys wore nice trousers and shirts.

Another way the setting was unique is that there is a castle. It was home to the Capulet family of vampires. It was perched on a high hill surrounded by a forest. The town was situated at the bottom of the hill. This castle had four towers as high as a redwood tree at each corner.

These unique characteristics enhanced the story. Visuals of the town also helped me understand what people did so long ago. Like sword fighting and going to church every week. People also ate at small, privatley owned taverns.

Even though the time is long gone we don’t have to forget about it. Settings of stories help us remember how it was. This story had a wondrous setting and it had a great enhancement.
